CERTIFIED HUMANE. Surfing Goat Dairy is the first Hawaii-based livestock producer to receive Humane Farm Animal Care’s Certified Humane Raised and Handled label. Owners Thomas and Eva Kafsack accepted the honor this week in Honolulu from HFAC board member Mae Mendelson. Humane Farm Animal Care is headquartered in Herndon, Va., and proclaims standards for stockraising. Surfing Goat has a herd of 80 does and three bucks.
