Ba Huan Company was founded in 1985 by sixteen-year-old entrepreneur Pham Thi Huan. Its cage-free eggs under the brand “Ke Phi Fresh Eggs” are supplied to supermarket chains, restaurants, and hotels in Vietnam’s capital city Hanoi and other neighboring cities.
Ba Huan became acquainted with the Certified Humane® program through the company’s clients. “Due to many years of experience in the poultry industry, there was no difficulty in transitioning to a cage-free chicken farming model,” says Pham Thi Huan.
“During our research, we realized that the Certified Humane® program is effective for raising awareness about animal welfare. As egg producers and processors, we have always sought to develop and implement welfare programs for production birds,” says Pham Thi Huan.
“We see the work of Certified Humane® as very significant both for the welfare of the hens and for raising awareness among farmers and animal caretakers.”
