From a press release:
“Nantucket-born Oath Pizza — the beloved pizza brand known for its grilled and seared in avocado oil thin crust pizzas and the only Certified Humane pizzeria in the country — debuts in Washington DC’s Navy Yard [110 M Street SE] on Monday, April 9th. Located steps away from the Navy Yard metro stop and across the street from Nationals Park, Oath Pizza opens just in time for the start of baseball season, offering a new food and drink option near the ballpark for locals and destination diners alike. The new restaurant is Oath Pizza’s first in the city and second in the metro area — they opened in Fairfax, VA in the Mosaic District last fall.
To celebrate the new restaurant, Oath Pizza will be hosting a grand opening celebration on Thursday, April 19th from 11am to 10pm, where they will offer half of every pizza on the house. They will also have live music, complimentary tote bag giveaways and snacks.
Oath Pizza’s Navy Yard restaurant will feature an exclusive new seasonal pizza special: Crabby Old Baystard with Old Bay-seasoned lump crab meat, creme fraiche ricotta sauce, crust bread crumbs, Old Bay aioli, scallions and lemon.
A percentage of all sales of Crabby Old Bastard (and all seasonal pizzas at the Navy Yard restaurant moving forward) will benefit the nearby DC Central Kitchen, the nation’s first and leading community kitchen that develops and operates social ventures targeting the cycle of hunger and poverty. The seasonal special is offered alongside Oath Pizza’s signature offerings, which include the Bella (mozzarella, roasted cherry tomatoes, roasted garlic, ricotta, balsamic drizzle, Grana Pandano cheese, and fresh basil), the Spicy Mother Clucker (mozzarella, pickled red onions, chili-spiced chicken, sriracha drizzle, spicy aioli and scallions), and the Whole Hog (roasted cherry tomato pesto, mozzarella, roasted Vidalia onions, Niman Ranch pulled pork and spiced sausage, smoked bacon, and housemade chili oil). All pizzas are made with ethically sourced, all natural ingredients (no hormones, artificial preservatives or antibiotics). Soon after opening, Oath Pizza will also offer craft beer and wine on draft.
With 36 seats, Oath Pizza in the Navy Yard will showcase the brand’s signature color palette of white, yellow and black detailing, but with added unique design elements that pay tribute to the neighborhood. A custom mural on one of the walls features illustrations of the stadium and other local landmarks, and vintage-inspired baseball pendants adorn the interior.
Oath Pizza is open in Navy Yard from 11am to 10pm daily starting Monday, April 9th.”
