SAN FRANCISCO, CA – the happy egg co. is expanding distribution of its high quality Free Range eggs to Walmart stores across the west, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota and Wyoming. With Walmart and the happy egg co.’s commitment to sustainable and affordable products, the availability of happy eggs from the happy egg co. at Walmart provides customers with better access to Free Range eggs.

Packaged in a sunshine-yellow carton made of 100 percent recycled and compostable material, the happy egg co. adds a ray of sunshine to the dreary, gray egg case. Free Range eggs from the happy egg co. come from hens, or “Girls,” that are provided with daily access to at least four acres of pasture to roam, plenty of clean water and nutritional feed, and care from expert family farmers. With its farms centrally located in Arkansas, close to grain fields, the happy egg co. is able to keep its carbon footprint low and conserve natural resources throughout the transportation process.

“At the happy egg co., we believe everyone should have access to Free Range eggs from hens that live the best life imaginable and we want to do so in a way that is kind to the environment,” said Rob Newell, chief marketing officer for the happy egg co. “We are passionate about animal welfare and are looking forward to continuing our mission of bringing high quality eggs at a fair price to customers through our relationship with Walmart.”

Setting the gold standard for happy hens, the happy egg co. has received a Certified Humane Raised and Handled® certification by Certified Humane®, a third-party animal welfare certification program that covers everything from hens’ living conditions to their feed, and the expertise of their caregivers.

With the expanded distribution into Walmart, Free Range eggs from the happy egg co. will now be available at stores throughout the west. Walmart will be the first company to carry the happy egg co.’s new ten pack container.
